Straight out of Canada

A passion for the great outdoors and always at home in nature, Chris Anderson has spent a large part of his life traveling, canoeing white water rivers and camping with friends and family. SKRP came to be after a trip to Nova Scotia where he and his wife came across a skate shop that sold rings made out of old skateboard decks. When he got home from that trip he got to work making some for himself. Pretty quickly he started expanding, collaborating, building a team and refining the production of our custom skateboard and snowboard products. Now SKRP products are sold in over 150+ retail locations across Canada and the US!

Our Partners

SKRAP as a brand would not exist without the amazing teams that we've had the pleasure of working with.

Almonte Laser

First and most importantly was in 2014 when we began to collaborate on projects with Almonte Laser Engraving which (at the time) was a small shop with a tun of enthusiasm to learn and grow. Over the last few years the shop has grown in leaps and bounds right along with our SKRAP brand. In that time we’ve worked on countless large scale corporate projects that you can find here. Plus we can now proudly say that because of the laser cutting capabilities all of our SKRP products are 100% made in-house right here in Ottawa, Canada!

Tense Watches

Tense Watches has set the standard for wooden watches in Canada and around the world for over 40 years. We have been lucky enough to work with them to design a very unique new style of watches that incorporates their craftsmanship found in all Tense watches with the beautiful colors and graphics that come from our recycled skateboards!  Together we worked to find a perfect balance between our recycled skateboards and the reclaimed maple and walnut that Tense uses in their production.  Working with Tense has been a truly rewarding learning experience for us.

EcoEquitable Inc

Excited to find EcoEquitable right here in our own backyard (Ottawa). In their own words: “Our mission is to provide a bridge to social and economic integration for people in need, especially immigrant women, while greening our community”‘ they offer “contract sewing services for small designers and businesses”. This was perfect for use as we were looking for a Canadian company to work with in the creation our sunglasses soft cases from recycled materials as well as to help with our other ongoing projects and that is exactly what we got from EqoEquitable. Find out more about them here.

Big Thanks!

Grateful to all of the manufactures, distribution, shops and ski hills for their support sending us their recycled skateboards and snowboards over the years! Extra big thanks to our top supporters below:

If you own (our are part of a great team) that could use a recycling program please get in touch, we'd love to chat!
